You’re Doing Better Than You Think
December has a way of amplifying everything - emotions, expectations, fatigue.
If you've been feeling more sensitive, stretched, or easily overwhelmed lately, that doesn't mean something is wrong with you. It often means your system is responding to a season that's asking for more care and less pressure.
I often talk with women who say, “Nothing is technically wrong… but I don't feel like myself.” What's usually happening isn't regression - it's adjustment.
Here are a few signs you might be in what I call an adjustment era:
Feeling emotionally tender without a clear reason
Needing more space, rest, or boundaries than usual
Less tolerance for things that used to feel manageable
A quiet urge to simplify, even if you can't explain why
I see this pattern often in women who are integrating internal shifts - even when life looks relatively “stable” on the outside. Growth doesn't always feel expansive. Sometimes it feels like recalibration.
If you're in that place, here's a simple 1-minute grounding reset you can use anytime:
Place one hand on your chest.
Name one thing you're feeling and one thing you need.
Take three slow breaths.
Then gently release the idea that you need to fix anything right now.
That's often enough to bring you back into connection with yourself - and clarity follows connection.
If this resonates, you're welcome to reply and tell me what stood out. I read every response.
You're not behind.
You're adjusting - and that matters.
Warmly,
